Questions:

"Our daughters Hanan and Anwar get teased in school about their gay dads. What can we do to protect them?"

Welcome to Greater Boston PFLAG!

We create an environment of understanding so that all people can live with dignity and respect through:
  • Support: to cope with an adverse society,
  • Education: to enlighten the public,
  • Advocacy: to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.
  • Safe Schools Project - create a safe environment for LGBT students in all our schools.
Greater Boston PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity.

Join us on-line, or with a paper form. Checkout the new PFLAG National blog.

Praises to Governor Deval Patrick and his wife, Diane,

from Greater Boston PFLAG. If only all parents would follow your example of providing a heartwarming embrace of their children when they come out. Get the full GBPFLAG press release here.

July 10 and August 14 Reading Meetings

For these two meetings, the time will be 6:30pm and the room has changed to be the one at the rear of the building. The movie "for the BIBLE tells me so" will be screened at 6:30, followed by a regular meeting. Through the experiences of very normal, Christian, American families - including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson in the film - we will discover how people of faith handle the realization of having a gay child or family member. Go to our Support page for more meeting information.

Telling Our Stories

14 Greater Boston PFLAG members helped take calls for WGBH fund raising during the showing of "Anyone and Everyone" Thursday evening. It was great fun and a chance to see the wonderful stories again about real children coming out to their parents. The DVD is available at www.anyoneandeveryone.com.

2008 Boston PRIDE Parade

The Pride Parade was great time for all. It was wonderful and uplifting to hear the crowds cheer and yell their encouragement to those of us who proudly support and love our GLBT children.
